HIIC ( Health Issues in the Community)

Health Issues in the Community is a training course which explores health issues that are relevant to you and your community. The course looks at how poverty, housing, employment, income, food, and a range of other things affect our health and the health of our communities.

HIIC is for everyone, particularly for people who would like to improve their knowledge, skills, and become more involved in their local community. It is for local community members, volunteers and those who work with community members.

Promoting Dignity at Work (2 hour workshop for employee’s)

Ideally, your experience of work should be a positive one and there is an onus on employers to provide a positive workplace environment; one free of bullying and harassment. This workshop is intended for all employees; it gives participants a good understanding of Dignity in the workplace and discusses the differences between bullying, harassment and sexual harassment, the effects of bullying on mental health and how to deal with an incident(s).

Promoting and Investigating Dignity at Work (2 hour workshop for Management and HR)

 

Managers and supervisors have a particular responsibility to implement policies and procedures and to make every effort to ensure that bullying and harassment does not occur in the workplace. Management have an obligation to deal promptly and effectively with any incidents of bullying or harassment of which they are aware of, weather a complaint has been made or not. 

 

 

Bullying is a workplace issue and it is also a health and safety issue in so far as bullying has been identified as hazardous or dangerous as it can lead to both safety problems and health problems. This workshop discusses Dignity at work and how to deal with and investigate any formal complaint(s).
